Praise the Lord...

January doesn't stink after all! Today was Matthew's appointment with the cardiologist and we got the best news ever, the hole in his heart has closed and everything else is perfectly formed! Praise the Lord! As you can tell yesterday I was pretty down but now after seeing what the Lord did in Matthew I can truly rejoice and be thankful! I mean isn't it the best when you are totally down and the Lord brings you so high nothing else matters! This is how I feel! In spite of one son having pneumonia, the other having a sinus and ear infection and me finally catching whatever started this all, I can rejoice! Thanks to all of you who prayed for him I hope that you are all encouraged in Him, seeing that he does hear you!

january STINKS!

So this is the worst January ever! My boys have been sick since right before New Years! We had one good week (which was last week) and BAM! The sickness is back! So as most of you know Marcus went to the E.R. on Friday because he couldn't breathe very well, he has pneumonia! He was fine Friday morning but Friday night I had a different kid on my hands, I can't believe how fast it hit him! And now Matthew, his original sickness started right before New Years too. After three weeks of not getting better he was put on an antibiotic, last week he was okay but last night his nose started running. This morning, his nose was filled with mucus!! I couldn't even suck it all out! So I took him to the doctor this morning and guess what, Sinus infection returned and brought along his friend EAR INFECTION!!!! So now my poor baby is on another antibiotic for 10 more days, WHEN IS IT GOING TO END????? So if you feel the need to pray for me please do, this has been a stinky month and tomorrow Matthew sees the cardiologist so pray for that too. I sincerely pray that February will be germ free!

So I did it myself....

So Marcus hair was completely out of control and I just couldn't take it anymore!!! So I cut it my self. It came out pretty well, and he was a trooper. Although 1/2 way through it he started saying "sorry mommy, I sorry.... All done?" it was sad but I told him he could take a bath after and then he was happy!!! Here are some before and afters...

I thought this was cute, Marcus doesn't understand the smile for some reason. So I told him "look at mommies mouth and do this" and so I smiled, this picture is what he did, pretty funny! Is this how I smile?

Matthew is changing daily...

I can't believe how fast he is growing up. His first official word "DADA" and I am okay with that because I know how much it blesses Micah's heart!! And I know soon enough he will be saying mama...I hope! Anyways he is starting to move and be crazy active! He is almost full on crawling! The past 7 months has gone by way to fast! Only 5 more months and he will be ONE! Speaking of 5 more months, in that time (the first week in June) Adrianne will be graduating Elementary school!!! Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday she started kindergarten! I just can't believe it!!! In 8 months I will have a Jr. high school gal in my home! Lord help us all! So we will be having a graduation dinner or something for her following her graduation ceremony and all who can come are welcomed to, and the next day we will be having a Birthday party for Matthew! So it would be great if everyone (you know who you are) could come on over to our house that weekend! That way you could go to Adrianne's graduation and then to Matthew's 1st birthday! Two very exciting events you don't want to miss!! So mark your calenders now!!!! I will be sending out some info on the exact dates and time very soon so that everyone will be prepared!! Can't wait to see you all soon!!

So Marcus, Matthew and Myself all rang in the New Year being sick! I think Micah is catching it too and we are praying that the girls will be spared!!! So other than that the New year has been well. The girls got their hair cut and look really cute. Even though Matthew is with his first cold he hasn't really skipped a beat and Marcus this cold has definitely taken him down a notch or two. Which is nice for me ( no falling down, no trips to the E.R. no constant yelling in the house of "No Marcus", "Sit down before you fall!", "No Climbing on that get down!") I am sure you get the picture but it is pretty sad seeing him not being able to be himself. I am sure it will be very short lived. Any ways We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year! We can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for everyone this year!

We were able to make it to Bakersfield before New Years and we got to see The Randy and Diane Jenkins Family! Unfortunately we missed Jacob, Jada and the boys by a few hours. But we were able to see Johnathan , Melissa and Jackson (or as Marcus called him tracksin) we also got to spend time with Wes, Michelle, Elliot and Allen. We had an awesome time! Micah got to hang out with the guys for a whole day! They went for coffee in the morning super cart racing in the afternoon and then a movie at night! He got a very much needed fun filled day! Marcus, Matthew and I hung out and watched some chic flicks with the girls.

So we did have a great Christmas with our kiddos and family. We got to wake up Christmas morning in our house with Micah's parents. And we got to spend some time with Nick, Jess and Myles too. It was great!
